Eight YEars
Tuesday, October 18th, 2005Eight Years
On this day, eight years ago, I envisioned this day
This day that I would proudly stand and profess my love for you
On this day, eight years ago, I knew there would be an US today
My dear, for these last eight years, we have endured so much,
We went through the pain of misunderstandings,
Endured the tortures of arguments,
We bit our lips in cold silence, in cold heartedness,
Agonizing the moments apart, the trying times of acceptance,
But we now know my dear that these were all soon to pass
I never regret and I cherished every moment we had together
Cherished the moment we looked into each others eyes
Cherished the feeling we had and still have when we hold each other in warm embrace
Relive the joy we have every moment we are intimate,
Reminiscing the laughter we enjoyed with each other,
The tears we shed on each other, in happiness and in sadness
For eight years, my dear
We grew up with each other, learning more and more as the days go by,
The imperfectness and the faults that we know so much of each other
The qualities and the kindness we see in each other,
How unselfish we are when it comes to the needs of one another,
How well we complement each other, finishing sentences,
Sixth sensing each others needs,
And after eight years my dear,
As we enter another wonderful year ahead of us,
I promise you, not for another eight, nor eighty years,
But for as long as my UNDYING love for you stays,
So promise me my dear,
On this wonderful day,
Keep me close in your heart,
To continue to cherish what we cherish,
To endure what we endure,
For many blessed years ahead of us,
With all my heart my dear, I love you, and
Happy 8th Anniversary.
